Number overview
0800-919-4650 is a toll-free number (the 0800 prefix). Multiple directories carry user reports describing internet-line sales calls from this number (as of 2026-08-03). It is registered on jpnumber under the name "Linear", and reports describe callers presenting themselves as NTT agencies or carrier affiliates.
This site previously stated that the number was "a scam call impersonating SoftBank" and that "checking with a SoftBank-operated store confirmed it is not legitimate". Re-verification could not substantiate either statement, so we corrected the page to what the reports actually describe.
Reported behavior
- Sales about internet or Wi-Fi line contracts and switchovers
- Reports of callers implying affiliation with NTT agencies or carriers
- Reports of repeated calls
Telecom solicitations must clearly state the company name and contract terms. Do not engage with pitches that stay vague about who is calling.
How to handle this call
If unsure whether the call is from your actual carrier, hang up and contact the official desk listed on the carrier's website or your bill. Refuse unwanted pitches clearly, and block the number if the calls persist.
Sources of the reports
The descriptions on this page are based on user reports posted to third-party phone-number directories (checked as of 2026-08-03). This site has not independently verified the caller, and nothing here identifies the caller definitively. The reporting sources we checked are:
- jpnumber: registered as "Linear"
- Telnavi: user reports classifying it as internet/Wi-Fi line sales (43 users, 25 reviews)
- Number-lookup articles via Hatena Bookmark: reports of sales calls in the name of an NTT agency (February 2025)
- tellows: one user report describing sales in NTT's name
