Number overview
050-2016-5000 is the support center number of JR East's seat-reservation service "Eki-net". We confirmed that two official pages, the Mobile Suica FAQ and the JRE ID FAQ, list this number as the Eki-net contact (hours 8:00 to 22:00) as of 2026-08-03.
This site previously described the number as "related to phishing scams". Re-verification against the official pages confirmed the number itself is the legitimate support desk, so we corrected the page.
Caution: phishing emails quoting the genuine number
Phishing emails impersonating Eki-net, such as fake "automatic account cancellation" or "payment update" notices, sometimes quote the genuine support number (050-2016-5000) in their text. A genuine number does not make the email genuine. Eki-net officially warns that any email not sent from the @eki-net.com domain is fake.
How to respond
- Do not open links in emails claiming to be Eki-net; access the official site (eki-net.com) directly via bookmarks or search
- If you have a reservation or inquiry pending, a call from this number may be a legitimate contact
- If you entered card details after such an email, contact your card company and consult the police line (#9110)
