Number overview
070-3549-7480 is a phone number used in a phishing scam that impersonates PayPay by sending fake SMS messages claiming "your post-pay payment deadline has passed."
Reported tactics
- The SMS reads, "PayPay Atobarai (post-pay): your bill of XX yen for X month has passed its payment deadline. Please verify"
- The recipient's phone number is included in the SMS to imitate a personalized legitimate notice
- Tapping the link in the SMS leads to a fake PayPay site
- Sending from a 070 number makes it look like a private contact
PayPay does not notify post-pay deadline overruns by SMS or ask for payment at a linked URL. Genuine notices appear inside the PayPay app.
How to handle this
Don't open the SMS link
Never tap a link in an SMS claiming to be from PayPay. Delete the message.
To check your PayPay status
